Friction loss of vacuum pump oil

Vacuum pump oil in the pump from the seal, lubrication, cooling and opening the exhaust valve, so the pump oil involved in the compression and friction, but also reduces the friction between the parts. As for the slide valve pump which is not provided with an oil pump, as long as the clearance between the slide valve and the pump cover and the middle baffle is proper, the oil inlet of the pump can be adjusted automatically. But as with the oil pump, the oil pump flow must be carefully calculated, usually for (7~10) x10-4S (S speed L/s pump), such as the large amount of oil into the pump, which will make the vacuum pump into oil pump, not only increase the compression work, and friction loss increased sharply.

The kinematic viscosity of pump oil varies greatly with temperature, such as a factory's V100 oil, viscosity at 40 104.62mm2/s, viscosity at 11.63mm2/s 100. So the vacuum conditions, appropriate temperature to improve the pump, reduce the consumption of power is good, we proved by experiments, the pump temperature increased from 50 C to 70 C, the power consumption can be reduced by 7%, but also more conducive to condensable vapor pumping, and at the same time reducing cooling water consumption.

Vacuum pump oil will be solidified at -12 DEG C, so some units in the north of the pump is not suitable for outdoor work. This is not only not conducive to the start of the pump, and the pump in a short time after the start, some parts in the lack of oil or oil state, easy to cause the damage of the pump.
